With great joy, I acknowledge the challenging work done by the Development Office, to realize the first STRATEGIC PLAN of the FMA AFM Province. The Strategic Plan, per definition, is a way of owning the development of an institution, by considering each and every aspect of its reality, as well as planning objectively its harmonious growth. In other words, it is an organizational management activity which takes act of the energy and resources and establishes priorities in order to reach out the goals intended by the organization.
The Strategic Plan will guide us to the Strategic management which is the collection of ongoing activities and processes to systematically coordinate resources and actions with mission, vision and strategy throughout the organization. This will transform the strategic plan into a system that provides strategic performance and feedback to decision making. It is encouraging to see that the steps until now have been respected and that all our communities and missions in the Province are motivated and well involved together in the journey. This present work will not only help each mission to be more effective in the realization of its educative mission but also will help the Provincial Leadership Team (PLT) to be more aware of the needs of the people entrusted to us. By following and implementing this Strategic Plan, the AFM Province will be in position to acquire a new holistic vision of the life and realities of the people and take the necessary steps to achieve the common mission entrusted to us. A word of thanks to the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians through its leadership, especially Mother General, Mother Yvonne Reungoat and Sr Vilma Tallone, the General Bursar who encourage the institution of the Development Office to provide the Strategic Plan to the Provinces and accompany their growth. Thanks to Misean Cara for sustaining us financially for realizing this project; Thanks to the communities and all the missions of the Province for their adherence to the demands of this laborious elaboration. The last, not the least, thanks to Sr Maria Isabel Vieira, the Development Officer and her team for the hard work realized. We entrust this work to St Joseph, the foster father of the Holy Family, so that he takes care of us and make fruitful our mission in favour of the youth and of the poor. With a grateful heart, Sr Marie Claire Jean, FMA (Provincial)
