We are the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, from our Italian name, “Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice” (FMA), usually known as Salesian Sisters.

Founded in Italy in 1872, our Founders, St Giovanni Bosco and St Mary Domenica Mazzarello wanted us to be a response of salvation to the profound hopes of girls and young women in Italy and around the world. Present today in 98 countries with more than 12000 Sisters, our principal attention is for Christian education and human promotion.

Our Province in South Africa, Lesotho and Zambia works with 13 communities serving the children and youth through formal and informal education, youth ministry, professional formation.

We are a welcoming space where everyone can find a way for serving God and the others. Come and visit us!
